Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Live in Concert at Golden Gate Theatre

Eh eh ehhh... Oh oh oh! You're the sunflower! 2018 was one heck of a ride for film soundtracks. Well, one of the year's global blockbusters, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is coming back to the big screen. 5 years since its grand premiere, the acclaimed animated film is launching its very own Live in Concert run, including a stop at Golden Gate Theatre on November 10th. The trek will take the Academy Award-winning film on a concert run, playing the film in its entirety, with an all-female led orchestra and scratch DJ taking over as its music comes to life.

Every track in sync with the film will be based on the original compositions of the acclaimed Daniel Pemberton. Infusing hip-hop, synths, and catchy hooks throughout the film, Into the Spider-Verse's soundtrack surely hit the spot among audiences around the globe. His work included major collaborations with some of the world's biggest artists including Lil Wayne, Post Malone, Jaden Smith, and Nicki Minaj.

In a statement as cited by Consequence, Daniel Pemberton hails his work as "one of my favorite scores I’ve ever written," describing its complex body of work "utilizing a full orchestra, crazy electronics, and unbelievable turntable scratching techniques amongst a million other things is so technically complex, I never thought we’d ever be able to actually reproduce it in a live setting; but somehow, we have. I am ridiculously excited for fans around the country to see their very first Spider-Verse concert later this year."

As the first installment to the Spider-Verse franchise, audiences will be taken back to the first time Miles Morales was introduced to the world. Gaining Spider-Man-like abilities after an encounter with a radioactive creature, the rest became history.
